Emperor Akihito of Japan held the ceremony of approval of the new composition of the Cabinet of Ministers then the government is officially formed.

Prime Minister Shinzo Abe made a radical change in government, resulting in the posts from 19 people retained only 5, including the Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Taro ASO and Secretary General of the Cabinet of Ministers of Yoshihide Sougou. At the same time of the new 13 Ministers only 6 people headed by the Ministry for the first time, others already have a similar experience.

Of the most significant was the appointment of one of the key posts of Minister for internal Affairs SACO Node that belongs to a rival faction in the ruling liberal democratic party, distanced himself from the economic policies of the Prime Minister and «dared» even to attempt to stand as a candidate at the election of the Chairman of the party.

An important event was the fact that the post of Minister of foreign Affairs received the Taro Kono, who after the defeat of the party in the parliamentary elections of 2009, applied for the post of its leader and advocated for its radical reform. He is also known eccentric from the point of view of party veterans statements to the members of the party and its policies.

Great attention was attracted by the discussion of candidates for the post of defense Minister as largely the need for a change of faces in the Cabinet was caused by an endless series of scandals involving the former Minister Tomomi Inada. The new Minister became Itsunori of Onodera, who previously held this post. He is known for precise accuracy of statements and actions, and that, of course being a «hawk» and adhering to right-wing conservative views, at the expense of the underlined softness of manners knows how to find common ground with his opponents, without causing rejection.

This Onodera is behind most weapons of Japan, including offensive weapons, able to strike at bases of the enemy, implying that of North Korea. However, during his tenure as defense Minister was the beginning of negotiations in a format «2+2» between foreign Ministers and defense Ministers of Japan and Russia in November 2013.

As expected, on Thursday evening held the first meeting of the new Cabinet of Ministers.
