Ten people were killed, four were missing and more than 196 thousand were injured due to heavy rains, floods and small landslides in southern and Western areas of China, informs television channel CCTV.

The revelry in the period from 30 July to 2 August touched 17 cities in the provinces of Guangdong, Sichuan, Yunnan, Guizhou, city under Central authority Chongqing and Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous region.

Direct economic damage was 110 million yuan ($16.3 million). Over 800 buildings were damaged affected about 6.5 million hectares of farmland.
