Muscovites will be able to watch the blood moon on 7 August, the day of the partial lunar Eclipse, the official website of the government and the mayor.

«In Moscow, a private lunar Eclipse will be visible from 20:24 to 22:19. Within two hours, the Moon will pass through the Northern part of the earth’s shadow, plunging into her a quarter of the disc. Maximum phase of the Eclipse will occur at 21:20… At a time when the Earth casts a shadow on its own satellite, it acquires a reddish tint. Because of this, these events also called the blood moon», — stated in the message.

It is noted that to observe the Eclipse will be in Moscow planetarium from 20:00 to 23:00. Each telescope will be the astronomer, which will see the Eclipse with their own eyes. In addition, guests will show Saturn and Jupiter, which are also clearly visible through the telescope. The event will take place only if clear weather.
