The Greek government has decided about further easing of capital controls imposed in June 2015 in connection with the acute financial crisis and mass withdrawals. The decree signed by Finance Minister Euclid tsakalotos published in the government Gazette on Thursday evening and includes a further easing of restrictions on the movement of capital (capital control) from 1 September.

The depositors can withdraw cash 1.8 thousand Euro per calendar month. Still was allowed to remove 840 euros per week, or 1.64 thousand euros for 28 days.

Cancelled also restrictions on opening accounts for receiving salary. Some measures to facilitate business transactions with partners abroad.

In addition, it will be possible to withdraw cash up to 50% of the funds after September 1, 2017 are transferred from abroad current accounts with credit institutions in Greece. Now allowed to withdraw up to 30% of «new money» coming in from abroad.

Another weakening of controls expected for several months.
