Chairman SK the Russian Federation Alexander Bastrykin took under personal control investigation of criminal case upon murder of the Deputy of the Parliament of the Chechen Republic Magomed Askhabov, said the official representative of Department Svetlana Petrenko.

Earlier, the Head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov instructed law enforcement agencies of the Republic within the deadlines set, to apprehend and punish the perpetrators of the murder of the Deputy of the Chechen Parliament.

Askhabov was killed on Friday morning. His official Toyota Camry car was attacked by gunmen on the road to Achkhoy-Martan — Samashki. Askhabov was driving home from work in Grozny. According to Petrenko, the investigation is considering different versions of the reasons of the murder, one of the main reasons the murder is connected with office activity of the Deputy.

«Alexander Bastrykin took on personal control the investigation of the criminal case initiated by the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Chechen Republic on the fact of murder of the Deputy of local Parliament…» — she said.

She added that Chairman SK of Russia has instructed the head SUCK Russia in the Chechen Republic to involve the most experienced staff for the speedy establishment of all circumstances of the incident and the arrest of the suspect.

Currently, in a criminal case created investigative team, interviewed more than 10 witnesses, appointed a number of examinations. During the inspection of the crime scene was discovered the shell casings of 7.62.
