China in compliance with the resolutions of the UN Security Council banned the businesses and citizens of the DPRK to open a new business in China or expand an existing one, follows from the statements of the Ministry of Commerce of China.

«Companies or individuals from the DPRK are prohibited to create in China a new company with Chinese and foreign capital companies with foreign capital, and it is also prohibited to expand the scale of existing businesses,» — said in a published statement.

Of Commerce also reports that applications for investment in the DPRK and the expansion of existing ones, which violate the provisions of the resolution, will not receive approval.

The UN security Council on 5 August unanimously adopted resolution 2371 toughening sanctions against the DPRK. It provides for a ban on imports from the DPRK, in particular, iron, iron ore, lead, coal and seafood, freezing the accounts of the Bank for foreign trade of the DPRK, and North Korean vessels that violated the UN resolution that prohibits entrance to the ports of all States.

Member countries of the UN have a duty not to increase the number of workers from North Korea in their territory, not to create a new joint venture with the DPRK and not to expand existing ones. There are new sanctions against individuals associated with the missile and nuclear programs of Pyongyang.

Previously, the Commerce of China announced that from September 5 stops the actual ingestion of certain goods from North Korea, came under the restrictive measures

An official ban on the import of coal, iron ore, iron ore, lead, lead ore and seafood from North Korea entered into force on 15 August.
