More than 80% of Russian citizens approve of the job President Vladimir Putin and evaluate it as good, according to Friday data from the survey of Fund «Public opinion» (FOM).

According to the survey, 81% of respondents approve of Putin’s work, this figure has been stable for three months. Another 11% did not approve of the work of the President.

In addition, 79% of Russians expressed confidence in the President, over the last month this index was also unchanged.

Sociologists have found that 65% of respondents would vote for Putin in presidential elections if they were held next Sunday. Second place in the ranking took Vladimir Zhirinovsky (LDPR) with 8%, in third place Gennady Zyuganov (KPRF) — 4%.

According to the survey, last month the rating of Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev has not changed: 41% of respondents trust the Prime Minister, his distrust of Medvedev stated that 50% of respondents. Speaking about the work of the Prime Minister, 39% of respondents assess it as bad, the same percentage of the respondents rated it as good.

As for the rating of parties, it was headed by «United Russia» — it is supported by 49% of respondents, liberal democratic party support 11%, Communist party — 7%.

The survey was conducted on August 19-20, among the 3 thousand respondents from 207 settlements in 73 regions of Russia.
