Prime Minister Shinzo Abe has instructed his Ministers to be alert to any situations in connection with another missile launch by North Korea, said Secretary General of the government, Yoshihide Suga.

On Saturday morning, North Korea conducted a launch of three ballistic missiles from the area of the village Citeren in Gangwon province. According to the South Korean military, they flew about 250 kilometers. The U.S. military announced that the launch of two of them failed, and one exploded shortly after launch.

«The Prime Minister instructed to protect the lives of the people and their property, and to be ready for any unforeseen situations. We will carry out this instruction with all force,» Suga told reporters.

He also said that the missile did not pose an imminent threat to Japan’s security, and fell outside of the exclusive economic zone of Japan.

The situation on the Korean Peninsula escalated after exchange of harsh words between the DPRK and the United States. North Korea has promised to release a ballistic missile to the area of GUAM, where the us air base Andersen naval base APRA Harbor. The President of the United States Donald trump promised that if the North Korean leader Kim Jong-UN «do something with GUAM, North Korea will happen such an event, which no one has ever seen».

Last week, the leaders softened the tone of its statements. Kim Jong UN said he was willing some time to look at the behavior of the United States, trump endorsed these words. But on Monday, the U.S. and South Korea began a ten-day joint exercise «Ulchi — Freedom Guardian» that the DPRK is perceived as a rehearsal of armed conflict.
