The aviation of EMERCOM of Russia has defended from fires three settlements in the Volgograd region, which are home to more than 1.2 thousand people, reported the press service of EMERCOM of Russia.

«In the Volgograd region for days to extinguish the fires involved two aircraft be-200ES, the Il-76 aircraft and two helicopters Mi-8 of EMERCOM of Russia. Aircraft are not allowed the fire from spreading towards human settlements khmelevskoy, Spoons and deer, which are home to more than 1.2 thousand people», — stated in the message.

It is noted that the planes and helicopters of the Ministry of emergency situations made 10 departures on fires by 160 discharges water to a total weight of almost 1.3 million tons.

The situation with wildfires in Volgograd region sharply escalated on August 23, at the same time in the region was introduced a state of emergency.
