Egypt’s President will attend the BRICS summit in China

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi will participate in the BRICS summit, which will be held from 3 to 5 September in China.

As reported in a statement to the media, the official representative of the office are to participate in the meeting of the BRICS Egyptian President invited Chinese leader XI Jinping.

«China was interested in the invitation of Egypt to participate in the meetings of the BRICS group on the basis that it (Egypt) is included in the list of countries with a promising economy,» the statement reads.

In addition to participating in the summit, the Egyptian President will meet with executives of Chinese companies participating in different projects in the Arab Republic. After the visit to China, al-Sisi will head on an official visit to neighboring Vietnam.

The summit of BRICS (the group of five countries: Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa) will be held in South China’s city of Xiamen.
