Sanctions Washington against Caracas will not be able to influence Russia’s readiness to develop and strengthen cooperation with Venezuela, said the official representative of Russian foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova.

«We will carefully analyze the consequences imposed by the US sanctions and their possible impact on the interests of Russia and Russian business. But now I can say that they can’t affect our readiness to develop and strengthen the friendly cooperation with Venezuela and its people», — said in a statement Zakharova, published on the website of the foreign Ministry.

The President of the United States Donald trump introduced on Friday new sanctions against Venezuela. In particular, trump has banned American companies deal with new debt and securities issued by the government of Venezuela and the state oil company, with a maturity of more than 30 and 90 days, respectively. Also prohibited transactions with a number of existing debt owned by the public sector of Venezuela, and the receipt of dividends from the government of Venezuela.
