The President of Russia Vladimir Putin at a meeting with Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orban noted positive trends in bilateral trade and expressed full support with the Russian side is funding the construction of NPP «Paks».

«I welcome the opportunity on the sidelines of sporting events to talk about bilateral relations. I would like to note that, despite all the difficulties, still getting better economic dynamics. Last year we had a decline in trade, however, a small, nine percent. And in the first half of this year (growth – ed.) more than twenty percent according to different estimates may even be up to 27%,» — said Putin.

He noted that Russian investors continue to show interest in Hungary, investment is $ 1.5 billion.

«Work on our major projects, including in the energy sector. All with regard to the financing of the project known Paks, is it secured — $ 12 billion. In the beginning of next year can be started already on the site,» the President added.

Putin said that there are other joint projects, in particular in the field of pharmaceuticals. He also noted the interest of Hungarian businessmen to Russia. «It’s strongly supported, will help the promotion of business interests», — assured the President of the Russian Federation.
