Russia is ready to facilitate the settlement of the crisis in relations between Qatar and other countries in the region, said Russian foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.

«International Affairs we have very similar positions, I would even say identical positions on fundamental issues, which in this region are preserved. This also applies to Syria, it concerns Libya and Yemen, the situation in Qatar, which our Kuwaiti partners are striving to build such active mediation. We are actively ready to assist in those forms deemed acceptable by all parties,» Lavrov told reporters following his visit to Kuwait.

Saudi Arabia, UAE, Bahrain and Egypt in early June, broke off diplomatic relations with Doha and stopped with Qatar every message, accusing him of supporting terrorism and interference in their internal Affairs. The decision was later joined by several other States. Kuwait to mediate in resolving the conflict.
