Moscow mayor Sergei Sobyanin on Monday, in the name and on behalf of the President of Russia Vladimir Putin presented state awards to employees actively involved in implementation of the project of reconstruction and development of the Moscow Central ring (CIP).

«I am pleased to execute the order of the President and to hand out awards to people who actively participated in one of the most complex and significant projects in Moscow over the last decade,» — said Sobyanin.

The mayor noted the uniqueness of the project CIP construction which had to involve hundreds of kilometres of utility networks, to oust the existing structure, to coordinate coordinating the work and efforts of a wide range of departments: Ministry of transport, JSC «RZD» and ten departments of Moscow.

«Every step in this direction was given extremely difficult,» — said the mayor. «People who are professionally engaged in the construction, understand very well that to implement a project of this magnitude in such a short time — is extremely difficult, if not impossible,» he added, noting that in a matter of months daily passenger flow of CIP has reached 350 thousand.

The mayor also expressed gratitude to the President, «which was held under the supervision of this huge and significant for the Moscow project».

Engineers, builders, designers was rated number of awards: Order of Friendship, medal of the order «For merits before Fatherland» II degree, medal «For railway development», Gratitude of the President of the Russian Federation. Awarded honorary title «Honored Builder of the Russian Federation» and «Honored worker of transport of the Russian Federation».

Among the award-winning former head of the Moscow metro, now the Director of passenger traffic of JSC Russian Railways, Dmitry Pegov, Deputy head of the Moscow metro, strategic development and client work Roman Latypov, head of the administrative office of JSC «Russian Railways» Victor Eremin and other employees of JSC «RZD» and JSC «Moscow railway ring», GBU Gormost, state unitary enterprise «Moscow metro», gku «transport Organizer», ANO «Directorate of the Moscow transport knot».

«For the big contribution to development of transport system of the capital,» for merits in front of Moscow on behalf of the mayor were awarded the transport Minister Maxim Sokolov, President of JSC «Russian Railways» Oleg Belozerov.

Moscow Central ring was opened for passenger traffic on 10 September 2016 as a result of the reconstruction of Small ring of Moscow railway.
