Finnish court called the real name of the main suspect in the case of the knife attack in the city of Turku, TV channel Yle.

According to the investigation, the real name of the native of Morocco – Abderrahman Banan. He is 22 years old.

Earlier, a young man appeared in court documents as 18-year-old Abderrahman Makkah.

A native of Morocco with a knife attacked passers-by in Finnish Turku on August 18. Two women died and another eight people were injured.

The police confirmed that the attack in Turku is being investigated under article «terrorism».

Banan arrived in Finland in 2016, shortly before the attack he was denied asylum. He pleaded guilty in the attack, but denies his terrorist motives.
