The authorities of Primorye gave the heads of districts the day on payments to victims of flooding that can receive money only through the courts, the press service of the regional administration.

The first Deputy Minister EMERCOM of Russia Vladimir Stepanov at the weekend examined the victims in the flooding areas of Primorye. He said the main task of the authorities in the districts of the region to help victims of the flood in getting the required compensation, he especially urged to focus on the «weakest link»- pensioners and people who have to prove that they are the owners of the affected elements of the property.

The regional Commission on emergency situations with the participation of the Governor of Primorye Vladimir Miklushevsky held on Monday, August 28.

«Vladimir Miklushevsky criticized the work of heads of the flood-affected areas with those citizens who are unable to obtain payment through the courts. The head of the region gave the day to rectify the situation», — stated in the message.

As the Director of the Department of labour and social development of the Primorsky territory Lily Lavrenteva, in the five municipalities of 824 victims can obtain compensation for the damage only by a court decision. Of these, 289 people who can qualify for Federal payments, and 535 people on edge. More than 400 applications already worked out by specialists, the documents are sent to the courts.

According to the heads of the affected municipalities, the main work now is conducted on problem affected. Only in the Oktyabrsky district collected 100% of applications from residents that are going to appeal to the courts.

The Governor instructed the Director of the legal Department Svetlana Fur to send to the affected areas of the agencies to assist the people in filling out applications to the court and legal advice.

Powerful showers in early August, caused widespread flooding in Primorye. According to the authorities, the total area of the elements in the region fell 34 localities were flooded more than 2 million homes and 2.4 thousand adjoining areas, the region washed away roads, damaged railway tracks. Several towns cut off by floods. In six districts of the region was introduced a state of emergency. Currently road connections with the settlements restored.
