The official representative of the Chinese foreign Ministry, Hua Chunying in response to calls for the United States and Japan to increase pressure on North Korea questioned the effectiveness of these measures, calling them a «vicious circle».

At dawn on Tuesday from the outskirts of Pyongyang has been launched ballistic missile, which covered a distance of 2700 kilometers, flew over Japan and fell into the Pacific ocean. The US and South Korea threatened to give a «powerful response» to Pyongyang, not excluding military action in case of further «provocations». Japan, USA and South Korea have demanded the convening of the UN security Council.

«We don’t know, I thought the US and Japan over did eventually permanent joint military exercises, the ongoing strengthening of military pressure to achieve greater security or not? After going through all this vicious circle, they believe that the door to peaceful solution of the nuclear issue on the Korean Peninsula became closer or farther?» — said at the briefing, Hua Chunying, commenting on statements by the U.S. and Japan.

According to the representative of the foreign Ministry of China, the only possible solution is dialogue, which you can use to leave «the vicious circle of continuing nuclear tests, missile launches and military exercises».

«Experience has shown that the problem of the Korean Peninsula is very complicated, pressure and sanctions cannot fundamentally solve this issue,» she added.
