Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman called «sabotage» the situation on the market of liquefied natural gas, which rose sharply in recent weeks.

«I want the service on whom it depends, put things in order in the market of car gas. A sharp rise in the price of LPG has all the hallmarks of collusion. The market is reeling… It’s a diversion against Ukraine. We need to protect domestic consumers — ordinary citizens», — quotes the words of Groisman, the press service of the Cabinet.

Groisman also instructed the relevant ministries, the Antimonopoly Committee (AMCU), fiscal service and law enforcement agencies to deal with the situation on the market and find out the reasons for uncontrolled rise in prices for gas and to take measures to reduce its cost.

«This is a consequence of monopoly. Now I demand from AMCU to more decisive action, and ask for all the information — how many were traders, who today works in the market, what are the sources of fuel supply — and this is exactly what you will put on the table of the President of Ukraine… And now must reach a clear agreement with participants — they must take measures to minimize the prices in the coming weeks,» — said Groisman.

Ukrainian producers of liquefied natural gas — «Ukrgasdobycha», Ukrnafta, Ukrtatnafta, and private companies cover no more than 20% of market needs, the rest of Kiev imports from Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and other countries. The economy Ministry has previously said that the shortage of liquefied natural gas and the growth rates cited «restrictions imposed by Russia».

The head of the economy Ministry Stepan Kubiv last week instructed the relevant departments to analyze the situation on the market of liquefied gas. Verkhovna Rada Deputy from the faction «Block of Petro Poroshenko» Sergei Leshchenko said that the rise in price of fuel due to the pressure of the security Service of Ukraine traders.
