Complex equipment for the processing of waste tires and railroad ties with a capacity of 100 pounds per hour is put into operation at the production site of JSC «Apatite» (group «FosAgro») in Kirovsk, the press service of «FosAgro».

The complex was built at the expense of «FosAgro» in the framework agreement on environmental security between the company and the government of the Murmansk region.

According to the press service, the complex consists of two installations. One recycles rubber waste, scrap tires, tyre from mining machinery. Secondly there is a thermal destruction of hazardous industrial waste, such as railway sleepers, fuel filters. Both units operate in automatic mode and allow almost 20 times to reduce the volume of disposal of such wastes. All equipment is of Russian origin.

Such assets are characterized by low level of impact on the environment. A number of facilities, PhosAgro entered in the current year, the Ministry of natural resources included in the action plan of the Year of ecology as an environmentally safe production,» — are reported words of the General Director of JSC «FosAgro» Andrey Guriev at the launching ceremony of installation.

As noted in the press service, the total costs of JSC «Apatite» on projects related to environmental activities» for the last three years has exceeded 3.3 billion rubles.
