Moscow authorities are in talks with the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of mother of God of extrajudicial settlement of the property dispute over the former Church of the Holy apostles Peter and Paul in Milyutinsky lane, told RIA real Estate on Tuesday in Department of city property.

Built in 1845, the temple of Peter and Paul is one of the oldest Roman Catholic churches in Moscow. It was closed in the 1920-ies, after the great Patriotic war injured in the bombing the building was reconstructed under administrative needs. Located in Sri Giprouglemash. In 1990-e years the Catholic community has tried to reclaim the building, but to no avail.

In the spring of 2017, the Moscow Arbitration court satisfied the claim of the Archdiocese to the government of the capital and recognized four buildings BB Milyutinskiy pereulok, 18A of the property for religious purposes to be transferred to the Catholic diocese. But the Moscow government and the Department of property filed against this decision appeal.

As stated in the available edition of the appeal of the Secretary-General of the conference of Catholic bishops of Russia, priest Igor Kovalevsky, the Moscow government and the Department of city property on August 14 has said it is ready to go to the settlement agreement, but after a few days changed their position.

The court of property disputes over the building of the former temple in Milyutinsky lane are missing, said treatment in the Department.

«The Department is negotiating with the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of the Mother of God in Moscow on the peaceful settlement of the question of ownership», — added in Department.
