Russian non-profit organizations asked the authorities to provide them with incentives for export of humanitarian goods, it is necessary for more rapid delivery of humanitarian aid to needy residents of hot spots, said the legal adviser ANO «Russian humanitarian mission» Elizaveta Makarova, based on the experience of the organization’s activities in Palestine and in Syria.

Makarov spoke at a conference on «Humanitarian cooperation of public associations in areas of armed conflict and natural disasters», which took place in the framework of the III International Christian forum in Moscow.

«Unfortunately, the challenges faced by humanitarian organizations, exporting humanitarian goods associated with the customs clearance of these goods, because currently, the Russian non-governmental, non-profit organizations do not have special customs procedures for the export of humanitarian goods,» — said Makarov.

According to her, «Russian humanitarian mission» is now preparing to act on behalf of a domestic non-profit humanitarian associations with the initiative «to amend the legal acts, allowing a more simplified procedure to Russian organisations to export overseas humanitarian goods».

In its efforts to provide humanitarian assistance to the needy people of Syria and Palestine, the organization actively cooperates with «the Fund of Dr. Lisa «Fair use», said the representative of «Russian humanitarian mission».

In turn, speaking at the conference, President of the Foundation of the Holy Apostle Paul Valentina Lantseva reported that, since 2011, the Foundation made 21 a trip to Syria with a humanitarian purpose. «We were taken to Syria more than 40 tons of cargo, but it is very small, a drop in the sea,» she said, adding that humanitarian aid includes food, baby food and medicines.
