The death of Dmitry Kogan was a great shock to the Minister of culture Vladimir Medina, he called it one of the brightest violinists of our time.

Honored artist of Russia, the famous violinist Dmitry Kogan died Tuesday in Moscow after a long illness. Kogan from 2011 to 2014, he was adviser on culture of the Governor of Chelyabinsk region.

«A big shock for me was the untimely passing of one of the brightest violinists of our time, virtuoso Dmitry Kogan,» — said in the telegram on behalf of the Medina.
