A criminal case under article «Violation of rules of a labour safety, entailed on imprudence death of two or more persons» initiated in Kazakhstan upon state of emergency at a mine in Karaganda oblast, where three people were killed, told RIA Novosti on Thursday, the press service of the Department of internal Affairs of the region.

Thursday in the city of Shahtinsk of the Karaganda region of the mine «Kazakhstan», owned by «Arcelor Mittal Temirtau», there was a sudden release of methane. According to the company, in the mine were 132, 129 of them rose to the surface in accordance with the emergency plan. Three drifters were discovered in the mine without a sign of life. Three of the miners after the evacuation is taken to hospital, and one worker was sent to outpatient treatment.

«On the given fact criminal case under article 156 part 4 (Infringement of rules of a labour safety, entailed on imprudence death of two or more persons – ed.)», — said the Agency interlocutor on the phone.

According to him, currently under investigation.
