The lawyer of the American President Donald trump Michael Cohen has provided to Congress detailed explanations on each item of the charges about his alleged ties with Russian authorities, reports the New York Times, citing documents of the Congress.

In an eight-page letter to the intelligence Committee of the U.S. house of representatives attorney Cohen strongly denied that he had contact with Russia trying to influence U.S. elections.

«Mr. Cohen vehemently denies the accusations against him, they are false and continue to be absolutely groundless», — quotes the edition of a word of lawyer Cohen Stephen Ryan.

The lawyer also proposes to investigate congressmen instead the appearance of a 35-page «scurrilous report» about trump, whose authorship is attributed to former British intelligence agent.

The Washington Post has previously reported that Cohen in January 2016, wrote an email to the press Secretary of Russian President Dmitry Peskov on the construction in Moscow «of trump Tower» — so often called skyscrapers, which builds the company of the President of the United States. According to the newspaper, Cohen asked for help in the organization of the project, but received no response. Company trump refused to build a skyscraper in two weeks after Cohen wrote a letter. The newspaper did not say why Cohen decided that the Sands is somehow involved in construction business.

The Kremlin said that he had received an e-mail of the legal adviser of the US President, but the President of it is not reported and not going to answer.
