People’s artist of the RSFSR Lyudmila Ryumina folklore practiced in its pure form, without impurities of modern technology, her desire to preserve Russian folk song culture and she did, told RIA Novosti the singer Lev Leshchenko.

Ryumin — performer of Russian folk songs, founder and Director of the Moscow State ensemble «Rus» – has died on 69-m to year of life.

«Lyudmila professed Russian folklore in its purest form, without any mixture of contemporary melodies and all sorts of technology. Her desire to keep the Russian song culture and she did it. She was not only very professional singer: knowing, deep, but also a great organizer, as evidenced by her Foundation, her students,» said RIA Novosti Leshchenko.

The singer also said that Ryumin was an uncompromising man at times she was difficult.

«But it has kept its personal and professional qualities to the last days. She sang it beautifully. A small consolation for the relatives may be something that will remain some principles and approaches that it has identified in respect of the Russian song, and her songs will sound still for a long time,» added Leshchenko.

Deceased people’s artist Lyudmila Ryumin will be buried on Monday, September 4, at Vostryakovskoye cemetery at the grave of her mother.
