Kamchatka Krai is the only region where the white morph Gyrfalcon. Therefore, in Kamchatka there are cases of selection against poaching in the Kamchatka-Koryak populations of Gyrfalcons.

«If there is a law allowing you to punish those involved in the illegal poaching trade, should be punished. However, I want to draw your attention to the fact that in most cases the penalized ordinary performers. It is very important to find financial sources, through which it would be possible to create appropriate conditions for the seized birds. A few years ago said that cannot be opened on the Kamchatka center of the keeping and maintenance of dogs, but no matter what we did, and today he is actively working. And I believe that we need to do in a region similar institution, but for the red book of birds», — quotes Vladimir Ilyukhin official website of the government of the region.
