Senators intend to contact the Russian government with a request to adjust prices for air travel, which, according to parliamentarians, is overpriced.

Such a proposal, according to first Deputy head of the economic Committee of the Federation Council Sergei Kalashnikov, is contained in the proposals of the working group created by the Federation Council on behalf of the Chairman of the house Valentina Matvienko.

«From the beginning of the autumn session at the end of September, we will make these recommendations to the Committee on ekonompolitike, then to a meeting of the Federation Council,» — said Kalashnikov RIA Novosti.

As for the negative components that affect the price of the ticket, Kalashnikov called «artificial overestimate of cost of aviation kerosene at high prices to service aircraft at airports.» In addition, the airlines themselves tend to the greatest benefit of artificially inflating the ticket price with increased demand, for example, in the summer.

The working group of the Federation Council also proposes to subsidize transport for privileged categories of citizens and remote areas.

«We propose to apply to the government of the Russian Federation, and, in particular, to the Ministry of transport and Federal Antimonopoly service to resolve these issues,» — said the Senator.

He stressed that to solve the problems fairly antitrust laws, and there is no need «to come on the market principles».

He explained that airports are often micromonosporaceae in their regions, and their activities should monitor the FAS.

At the same time, Kalashnikov said that if the senators after the appeal to the Cabinet of Ministers will not see any progress in the solution of a question on regulation of tariffs for air travel, «and possible amendments to the laws, including recommendations to introduce state regulation in this sphere».
