The Federal Antimonopoly service (FAS) of Russia is already conducting analysis of the possibility of deregulation of tariffs for services in sea ports of the country, said RIA Novosti in the press service of the FAS.
Earlier Thursday, Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich told RIA Novosti that Dvorkovich instructed the Ministry of transport and FAS to assess the presence of a competitive environment in the sea ports for the period 2015-2016 and as of 2017 and in case of its availability to consider the deregulation of these competitive services.
«Termination regulation is possible only in those markets where there is competition. Is there such competition in sea ports – debatable, which is why the FAS have been instructed to carry out relevant market analysis. The Agency has already engaged in this work», — said the representative of the FAS.
The antitrust Agency did not say when it may be completed the analysis. The representative Dvorkovich, the time of execution of the order is not voiced.
