Charitable Fund American actor Leonardo DiCaprio has allocated one million dollars to support victims of the hurricane «Harvey» in the United States.

«Entrance donation to the new Fund received from the Fund Leonardo DiCaprio (LDF), which has invested one million dollars to in the near future to support victims throughout the region», — reported in a press release of the charity Fund United Way, which organized a campaign in support of the victims of the hurricane.

Earlier it was reported that the star of American reality show Kim Kardashian is going to donate 500 thousand dollars in connection with the hurricane «Harvey». On Tuesday it became known that actress Sandra bullock has donated one million dollars to the Red Cross to support the victims.

Singer Jennifer Lopez and hip-hop artist DJ Khaled has donated 25 thousand dollars to help victims of the storm «Harvey». A native of Houston, the singer Beyonce said that working on how to help rebuild the city. The American football player Justin James watt has donated 100 thousand dollars and launched a website to collect donations, a Fund which already has one million dollars.

British band Coldplay last week canceled his concert in the city because of the hurricane, but wrote a new song «Houston #1» and spoke with her at a concert in Miami on Monday.

At least 30 people were killed and more than 13 thousand were saved during the floods that engulfed large areas of Texas. According to the evening of Tuesday, 20 thousands of Texas residents remained in shelters due to the disaster.

The flood was caused by hurricane «Harvey», which then weakened to a tropical storm. As expected, the destruction of «Harvey» can be bigger than hurricane Katrina in 2005, which seriously affected Louisiana.
