The ex-President of Georgia, ex-Governor of Odessa region Mikhail Saakashvili said that he returned to Ukraine to challenge in court the revocation of his citizenship and continue the fight for Ukraine’s future, but also because he loves the Ukrainian people and is ready to give him life.

Deprived of Ukrainian citizenship Saakashvili on Sunday evening with the support of the supporters broke through the cordon of guards and law enforcement officers at the checkpoint «shehyni» and got on the territory of Ukraine from Poland. The assistant to the head of the State border service Oleg Slobodyan said that Saakashvili illegally crossed the Ukrainian border, so as not passed border control. «I returned home to Ukraine, in order, first, to go to court and defend my rights. Earlier the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has deprived Saakashvili Ukrainian citizenship. The administration of the President explained that he had provided false data when it is received. Saakashvili himself at that time was in the USA, and later visited Poland, Lithuania and Hungary. He repeatedly said that he intends to return to Ukraine. Kiev said it was examining the request of Georgia for the extradition of the former President.
