The government will explore the possibility of providing the target set of training colleges and technical schools, by analogy with universities, said Deputy Prime Minister Olga Golodets at the meeting of Russian President Vladimir Putin with government members on Monday.

«Employers today are asking about how to practice target acquisition that we do in higher educational institutions, we have extended to vocational schools. We are working on such opportunities,» — said Golodets.

She noted that for admission to colleges, where this year has gone to study of 2.8 million people, an increase in competition in a number of specialties. In particular, some colleges contest for specialty chefs reached 9 people in place.

As previously reported, the Ministry of education, the share of tselevikov (students who have concluded the contract on training with follow-up testing in the regions) in 2017 amounted to 13.6% of the total number of admitted students. However, their average score of the exam rose 1.3 points and was equal to 64.4 points.
