The Russian national orchestra under Mikhail Pletnev will open the new concert season of the Great festival, which this year for the ninth time will be held in Moscow from 11 September to 2 October.

The festival will be six concerts, which are traditionally attended by world-famous soloists and conductors.

Bizet, Ravel, Macmillan

Open music forum of the Symphony program, which included works by French composers Georges Bizet and Maurice Ravel, as well as an ambitious programme of Alexander Scriabin’s «Prometheus». The evening program September 23, where Pletnev-the pianist will perform the Concerto No. 2 by Saint-Saens, will add two rarely performed in the capital works of composers of XX century: symphonic scene for large orchestra «Dreams» by Sergei Prokofiev and Symphony No. 3 Soviet and Ukrainian classics of Boris Liatoshynsky.
