Seismologists on Tuesday recorded the tremors of a magnitude of 5.1 in the Pacific ocean 72 kilometres from the coast of Kamchatka, reports the GU Ministry of emergency situations of Russia in the region.

«The quake occurred at coordinates 54°26 North latitude, 169°0′ East longitude, at a depth of 10 kilometers. The magnitude was 5.1. The epicenter of the earthquake was in the Pacific ocean at the distance of 222 kilometers Southeast of the village of Nikolskoye, Aleutian municipal district, the coastline is 72 km. Seismoisolation in the settlements of the Kamchatka region was not felt,» — said in the message.

It also specifies that calls to the EDDS of the municipal entities of Kamchatskiy Krai from citizens didn’t arrive.
