Moscow mayor Sergei Sobyanin and the Minister of education and science of the Russian Federation Olga Vasilyeva signed an agreement on cooperation between Ministry of education and science and the government of Moscow on issues related to the formation of an open information-educational environment «Russian school».

«Moscow is actively working on introduction of «electronic schools» and its elements for several years. In the first period we have provided interactive whiteboards, high speed Internet, laptops, and other infrastructure. Today we focused on working on content «e-school», the creation of electronic scripts lessons», — said at the signing ceremony said.

According to him, the signed agreement will enable the achievements of Moscow in the formation of the «electronic school» to provide the Ministry of education and regions, and in return receive content that has been gained in the Ministry and in the constituent entities of the Russian Federation.

«I believe that today’s agreement will give impetus to the development of «e-schools» in Russia», — said the mayor.

Vasiliev praised the contribution of Moscow in the development of national education and recalled that Moscow schoolchildren show good results not only in the whole country, but according to the results of international studies.

«All efforts of Moscow aimed at modernization of the education system, and «Moscow e-school» is a unique project that represents an innovative tool for all participants in the educational process. Today it is used successfully in educational institutions of Moscow and will become the main element of the «Russian school» and the whole educational environment, which is formed in Russia,» — said the Minister.

She expressed confidence that the unification of electronic educational resources of Moscow and the Russian Federation will be «an important step towards the implementation of the orders of the President of Russia on development of digital economy of Russia and the creation of an open information-educational portal on the Internet».
