The number of cholera cases in Yemen was $ 646 thousand people, however, the intensity of the epidemic as a whole is reduced, said at a briefing on Tuesday, spokesman for the world health organization Tariq BiH national jasarevic Azra.

«Overall, the epidemic is reduced. Since the beginning of the second wave of the outbreak in April, there were 646 thousand cases of cholera, with 2065 people have died from the disease. We have seen that in some places the figures are going down but in other places they grow. The mortality rate is very low. This means that those who are ill, have the ability to obtain the necessary assistance,» he said.

BiH national jasarevic Azra recalled that the epidemic began in October 2016, and in April started the second wave of the disease.
