The population of Russia has become more prosperous, if we measure the level life products for the soup, but the purchasing power of Russians in respect of the remaining deliveries for seven months decreased, said in «Comments on the state and business» of Economics.

«Prices for potatoes, cabbage, carrots, onions and pork with the current per capita income for the seven months of 2017 are such that per capita income can buy more products for the traditional first course than in January-July 2014,» the study says.

The authors of the Bulletin point out that the purchasing power of per capita income on rye bread decreased by 10%. For the rest of the food it too situation is not very good as food for soup.

«The purchasing power of incomes of the population decreased over the fish and margarine 23-24%, sunflower oil – by 19%; for rice and cereals – at 15-17%; beef, milk, vermicelli – 9-10%; for chickens and eggs – by 3% in January-July 2017 in comparison with the same period in 2014», — the document says. Serious problems Russians have appeared with products for tea: the purchasing power of black tea decreased by 26.7% in the Sahara-sand — by 9.4%, white bread — by 5.8%, butter – by 24.5%.

The study authors noted that a General decline in the purchasing power of Russians in January-July of the current year is observed on the background of growth of wages. Nominal wages in Russia, according to official statistics, has grown in seven months by 7.5%, while real wages, adjusted for inflation increased by 3%. The nominal size of pensions has increased by 9.6%, and the real — by 5.1%.

«The growth of the real sizes of salaries and pensions, however, has not led to a corresponding increase in real disposable cash incomes of the population over the 7 months of 2017, they decreased by 1.4% compared to the corresponding period in 2016», — the document says. This is because citizens in addition to official wages and pensions, have other income, which decreased significantly.
