The liberal opposition, including Yabloko, Solidarity, Union, Dmitry Gudkov, received about 15% of the seats in the Metropolitan municipalities according to the results held in Moscow on 10 September elections, said the Chairman of the Board of the Foundation for civil society development (Fargo) Konstantin Kostin.

He recalled that 77% of mandates results of the elections in the capital, received the «United Russia», which almost coincided with the forecast of the Fund — Fcsd talked about 80%.

«The second result is, in my opinion, it is certainly not a victory, as many of the media / liberal coalition, but its obvious success, it is clear that 15% of the seats in the municipalities of the city of Moscow the opposition gets — probation — is «Yabloko», «Solidarity», Association Dmitry Gudkov and so forth,» — said Kostin.

In his opinion, now it is a patchwork quilt, and the political future of this coalition is still a big question. «But, nevertheless, even the fact that the election period managed to unite and work together, this is a great achievement, which was expected by their supporters more than ten years», — said the head of Fargo.

He also noted the failure of the parliamentary opposition in these municipal elections.

«Department of parliamentary opposition parties and their candidates in Moscow failed. What is the situation of «United Russia» in several hundreds of locations have increased their presence in the Deputy corps, the visible success of this liberal Association, but if we are talking about our parliamentary opposition — the three parties — it is about 3% of the seats. This, of course, very little» — said Kostin.
