As the correspondent of RIA Novosti, on Tuesday morning, the counter, which was located in Manhattan, was removed, presumably in order to technically improve the display.

Public debt of the States for the first time crossed the mark of 20 trillion dollars on 8 September, when the US President Donald trump signed approved by Congress, the budget and approved raising the debt ceiling until 8 December.

According to the portal USdebtclock.org tracking the status of the debt, now it is approximately of 20.16 trillion dollars.
