The election Commission of the Kaliningrad region has declared last Sunday’s election of the Governor of valid, informed RIA Novosti the representative of regional election Committee Anastasia Buymov.

«At its regular meeting, the election Commission has recognized the past in a single day of voting in the election valid. Thus, the election results are final, and the acting head of the region Anton Alikhanov — elected Governor,» said Buymov.

She noted that the meeting resolved to issue Alikhanov a certificate of election to the post of Governor of the Kaliningrad region. After the elections, the acting Governor Alikhanov gained 81,06% of voters who voted 255 thousand people. The representative of LDPR Evgenie Mishin scored 5,47% of the vote, a member of the Communist party Igor Revin has received of 8.89% of the vote, the representative of the ecologist party «Green» Ekaterina Timofeeva scored of 2.53% of the vote. The turnout made up of 39.35%.
