Temporarily fulfilling duties of the Governor of the Ryazan region Nikolay Lyubimov, who won the presidential elections in the region on 10 September, said in the first post-election interview to RIA Novosti that could work as a teacher, if the village chose the other candidate.

«I have a profession, have a great experience. Can work as a teacher, you can come into the sphere of the economy. Wouldn’t have gone,» — said Lyubimov.

He noted that the Ryazan region became his home for six months of leadership. «I run the region for more than six months. During this time, the region has become like family to me. Now we have to work harder to justify their confidence in me. It does not matter who voted for whom, will work for everyone,» said acting Governor.

According to him, after more than 80% came to polling stations of the region’s residents gave him their vote, the responsibility increases.

Lyubimov, who in the Kaluga region, he was Deputy Governor, Chairman of the legislative Assembly and mayor, believes that previous experience will help him in his new post.

«It’s like a cumulative system: each step in the career allows us to see new facets of a problem, to delve deeper into its essence and to find the optimal solution», — said the winner of the gubernatorial election.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has appointed Nikolay Lyubimov acting Governor of Ryazan region 14 February 2017 after his predecessor Oleg Kovalev announced early resignation. Elections of the Governor of the Ryazan region on 10 September ended with a convincing victory Lyubimov, who received 80,16% of the vote with a turnout of 36,15%.
