The Libyan national army (LNA) had managed to liberate from the terrorists practically the whole South of the country and the area West of Tripoli, said the official representative of the LDF Brigadier General Ahmad al-Mismari.

«We almost liberated the entire South of the country and the area West of Tripoli. Now, almost ten regions of Libya are already living a normal life,» said al-Mismari at a press conference in MIA «Russia today».

The General, now the Libyan army has more than 63 thousand people, «these are people who have significant combat experience». The army today has a sufficient number of trained personnel, he added.

After the overthrow and murder in 2011 during armed conflict, Muammar Gaddafi, Libya is experiencing a period of acute crisis. In the country there is a duality: in the East in the city of Tobruk, sits a Parliament elected by people, and in the West, in the capital Tripoli ruled the national consensus government (NTC), formed with the support of the UN and the EU.

The authorities of the Eastern part of the country operate independently from Tripoli to cooperate with the Libyan national army led by Marshal Khalifa Haftarot that leads a protracted war with the Islamists.
