The Polytechnic Museum in Moscow is ready to help the investigation into the case of bribery

The administration of the Polytechnic Museum in Moscow, the reconstruction of which was filed on commercial bribery, is ready to assist the investigation, RIA Property, the press service of the Museum.

«At the moment, together with all project participants we work hard in order to avoid further repetition of such incidents,» — are reported words of the Director of the Museum, Julia Shakhnovskaya.

Earlier on Thursday it became known that the defendants in the case of commercial bribery in the reconstruction of the Museum Andrei Khatskevich and his alleged accomplice Alexey Milovanov — pleaded guilty and was sent under house arrest until November 12.

According to the Shakhnovskaya, in the construction field, we cannot exclude the human factor. «We are keen to thoroughly understand the situation and are ready to assist in the investigation,» — are reported words of the Shakhnovskaya.

In mid-February 2015, the Department of cultural heritage of Moscow has concluded the contract with ANO «Politekhinzhiniring», in which the company was to monitor the construction work in the «Large audience, which was made by Vladimir Ilyich Lenin in 1918» (cultural heritage). Subsequently, as stated in the materials of the case, unidentified consequence of persons from among the «Politekhinzhiniring» offered financial Director of «Tsentrstroyinvest-2000» to give them 630 thousand rubles for the confirmation of the work performed before the General contractor of reconstruction of the Museum of JSC «Evrokonsalting». After reaching agreement, one of the accused got 450 thousand rubles in a café, while the second received the remaining part of the money directly to a Large audience, according to the investigation.

The historical building of the Moscow Polytechnic Museum was closed for restoration in January 2015 and is due to open to the public in early 2018. Currently the exposition is closed to the public. The Museum building is a monument of history and culture of regional importance, a Large audience — the object of cultural heritage of Federal importance.
