The German government categorically condemns the recent launch of the DPRK’s ballistic missiles, said Friday at a briefing by the Deputy spokesman of the German government Georg Shtrayter.

«The German government categorically condemns the new nuclear test of the DPRK. Pyongyang is again demonstrating a threat to the entire region. We are particularly in solidarity with Japan,» said Streiter.

He added that due to a new launch is extremely important to quickly resort to new sanctions, that «the special responsibility of Russia and China.»

Pyongyang on Friday morning (00.57 GMT) re-launched ballistic missile. Japanese and South Korean military announced that it had reached a height of about 800 kilometers, flew over Japanese territory and fell to 2.2 thousand kilometers from Cape Erimo in Hokkaido. The range amounted to 3.7 thousand kilometers. The UN security Council on the initiative of the United States, Japan and South Korea held consultations.

The UN security Council on Monday evening in response to another missile and nuclear tests unanimously imposed new sanctions against the DPRK, which will significantly limit the export and import capabilities of Pyongyang. Resolution 2375 set the most stringent UN sanctions regime in the twenty-first century.
