. Perinatal center will be put into operation in Yakutsk in October, told RIA Novosti press-service of the Ministry of health of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia).

According to the head of Yakutia Yegor Borisov, the preparations for the commissioning of the perinatal center in the capital region completed almost one hundred percent.

«The center continues to receive modern medical equipment. Work on the landscaping of the adjacent territory come to an end», — said the head of the region.

The center will receive its first patients in December.

Opening the center, which will create more than 500 new jobs, will help significantly reduce child mortality, and disability among premature infants.

The perinatal center is designed for 130 beds: 90 in the obstetric Department and 40 in the Department of pathology of newborns and premature babies. To work at the center for professional training and retraining on the basis of the Central institutions courses were attended by 60 doctors obstetricians-gynecologists, neonatologists, anesthesiologists-resuscitators.

The press service added that the cost of the project amounted to 3.2 billion rubles, of which 2.3 billion are aimed at the expense of subsidies from the Federal mandatory medical insurance Fund and more than 800 million rubles — from the Republican budget.
