Spanish Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy had not received the letter allegedly sent next Catalan politicians, with a proposal for negotiations, said government spokesman, Minister of culture, iñigo méndez de Vigo.

Previously, a number of Catalan media have published the text of a letter, which, according to them, was signed by the Chairman of Generalitat Carles Putteman, his Deputy Mr. Oriol Junqueras, the Parliament speaker Karma Forcadell, the mayor of Barcelona Hell Cola.

In a letter sent to Rajoy with a copy of king Felipe VI, the authors of the message call «to the dialogue to discuss how we can agree on that the Catalans have a referendum».

In Generalitati RIA Novosti stated that they have no copies of the letter with addresses and signatures, and what they’re trying to find him.

According to de Vigo, Rajoy has not received the message. However, according to him, the government got acquainted with him in the media. The text de Vigo called «sarcastic… in these conditions,» since «talking about dialogue, while put only the question Yes or Yes to referendum».

He recalled that the government had presented its proposals for 45 points, which made Putteman, but «Generality not interested in these answers». «The Constitution and national sovereignty are not in the hands of the government,» recalled de Vigo at the press conference following the meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers.

«Carles Pokdemon invited to the conference of presidents of Autonomous governments, but his chair was left vacant. Then he was invited to the Congress of deputies to put forward their proposals, he explained and listened to the others, but he didn’t come» — recalled the Minister.

The government of Catalonia is going to hold the 1st of October, the so-called «referendum on independence», which does not recognize the Spanish government. Spain’s constitutional court suspended all documents regarding the vote taken last week by Generalitat and the Catalan Parliament. Thus, all further actions of the Catalan authorities on the preparation of the referendum illegal.
