The sue «Petersburg metro» plans to attract breeders to screen passengers; the company has announced a contest, according to the materials on the procurement website.

In particular, the competition is announced on «the provision of services to identify citizens and their baggage explosives with the use of search dogs with handlers at the sue «Saint Petersburg metro».

The document notes that the submission of bids for the procurement ended on 20 September, the date of the auction in electronic form on September 29. The initial (maximum) contract price — 690,242 thousand rubles.

In the terms of reference specified that the dogs will be on duty at the station «Technological Institute» from 8.00 to 20.00 GMT. After the passage of citizens through a metal detector to check baggage and citizens (spot check) will be carried out with the help of search dogs. Dogs will also examine the neglected items in the lobby and on the platform, to carry out preventive checks and bypass the lobby.

Earlier it was reported that the sue «Petersburg metro» on July 23 in a few days at the stations «Zvenigorodskaya», «Spasskaya», «Petrogradskaya» and «Gorkovskaya» conducted a mass screening of passengers for metallic objects and their deployment during passage through stationary metal detectors. Metro noted that the inspection is made on the basis of RF government decree of April 5, «On approval of requirements for ensuring transport safety, including requirements to antiterrorist protection of objects of the underground». Compliance with these requirements has led to queues at metro stations.

Day 3 April 2017 on the stretch between the stations «Sennaya Ploschad» and «Tekhnologichesky Institut-2» St. Petersburg underground there was an explosion. Another explosion at the station «Ploshchad Rebellion», was prevented by timely detection of an improvised explosive device. The investigative Committee of Russia opened a criminal case on the terrorist attack. The total number of dead reached 16 people, including the suicide bomber.
