Annual inflation in Russia decreased to 3,2%, which will probably remain until the end of 2017, said Finance Minister Anton Siluanov.

«Even today, annual inflation slowed to 3.2%, where probably will remain until the end of the year,» the Minister told reporters.

According to him, the decline in inflation expectations and contributed to inflation risks, including a balanced budget policy legislative strengthening budgetary rules and the formation in accordance with the budget parameters for 2018-2020 years. «This creates conditions to increase the stability and predictability of the economic environment, expanding the space for further reduction in the cost of long-term investment resources», — said the Minister.

The Bank of Russia on Friday for the fourth time in the current year has reduced its key rate, this time by 0.5 percentage points to 8.5% per annum.

Earlier in September, the head of the Ministry Maxim Oreshkin said that he expects inflation at the level of 0-0,2%, in annual terms — by 3.1-3.3 percent.

According to Rosstat, by the end of August in Russia was recorded deflation of 0.5% and annual inflation was 3.3%. The Bank of Russia said then that record deflation in Russia in August associated with seasonal factor and this is largely a temporary phenomenon, noting that by the end of 2017, the inflation in Russia will be close to target of 4%.
