Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan on Saturday signed an agreement on cooperation in military-technical sphere, the correspondent of RIA Novosti.

The agreement was signed during the visit to Uzbekistan of the President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev. Signatures under the document have put the Minister of defence of Uzbekistan Azizov Abdusalam and the Minister of defence and aerospace industry of Kazakhstan Beibut Atamkulov.

«Implementing the agreement will contribute to strengthening bilateral cooperation based on the principles of equality and reciprocity in military-technical sphere», — said in comments to the document.

This year, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan to intensify cooperation in military-technical sphere. In August the Ministry of defence of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan for the first time in the history of bilateral relations signed a military cooperation plan. The document includes activities in the framework of joint operational and combat training of troops and in military education.

These days in Tashkent the exhibition of products of Kazakhstan, where its exposition, in particular, presented a military-industrial complex of Kazakhstan — armored vehicles, universal ground equipment, command and staff vehicles and radio relay stations, communications facilities, sights day and night vision.
