Russian airline «Aeroflot» will increase in the winter period, the number of performed flights to Istanbul from three to four, said to RIA Novosti, the General representative of «Aeroflot» in Turkey Anatoly Golub.

«In the winter schedule we will carry four instead of three daily flights from Istanbul to Moscow. Except for flights to Istanbul, «Aeroflot» will continue to perform flights on the route Moscow – Antalya – Moscow once a day modern ships of the Boeing 737-800 and Airbus A321″, — said the Agency interlocutor.

He noted that «Aeroflot» has no plans to fly to Ankara, so there is «no strong demand from Moscow, while airlines look to him.»

According to him, only by June 2017, the airline was able to achieve the level of passenger traffic between Russia and Turkey, which was in 2014 — the first half of 2015. In 2016 periodically restricted the sale of air transportation in Turkey for up to 1 week.

«At the end of 2015, the plane was shot down (by Russian su-24 over Syria – ed.), in 2016, were the attacks in Istanbul, the attempted coup, the murder of the Ambassador — it is all greatly influenced the passenger traffic between the two countries. By year-end 2017, we expect slightly exceed the results of 2015», — said Golub.
