Comic book and cartoon will create based on «the Diary of Anne Frank», which was written by a Jewish girl during the Nazi occupation of the Netherlands, according to the French literary portal Actualitte.com.

According to the portal, comic book of 148 pages, painted Israeli art Director David Polonsky, will go on sale in France 4 Oct.

It is reported that comic book writer Ari Folman is also preparing a cartoon, which will be released in 2019. The main character of the cartoon will become an imaginary friend Anne Frank kitty, which she dedicated to her diary. Folman and Polonsky had previously worked on the film «Waltz with Bashir» (2008) – the first animated film ever nominated for an Oscar in the category «Best foreign language film».

The idea of creating the adaptation of «the Diary of Anne Frank» belongs to Anne Frank, which is located in Basel, Switzerland. It is noted that Polonsky and Folman first refused to work on the comic and cartoon, but then changed their minds.

Anne Frank family was hiding in 1942 – 1944 years from the Nazis in an asylum, hosted in one of the houses of Amsterdam.
